MobilityWorks is seeking a Sales and Use Tax Coordinator to join our team in Richfield, OH. Position Summary: The Coordinator of Sales and Use Tax is responsible for making sure that all transactions processed by MobilityWorks operations and sales are properly identified as taxable or non-taxable and information is properly compiled and reported accurately to the taxing authorities in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Gather and maintain information regarding tax regulations for all states.
- Continuous research on the taxability of transactions executed at our stores.
- Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns for multiple taxing authorities in a timely manner.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to sales and use tax.
- Prepare and maintain state tax exemption forms and W-9’s for our various companies.
- Prepare information for tax audits and accounting audits as needed.
- Respond to tax notices on a timely basis, as required.
- Review monthly financial statements as part of the General Ledger Team.
- Other general accounting reconciliations and month end close assistance as needed.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirement:
- Accounting Degree Required.
- Minimum three years sales tax experience in a multi-state environment required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously is required
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Superior spreadsheets skills and advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to research laws regarding taxes
