Position Summary:
The MBW Online Automotive Sales Consultant will sell wheelchair-accessible vans via the Internet, email, telephone, and chat to Out-of-Market prospects. This client category, defined as being outside a 100-mile radius of an actual MBW retail store, is also represented by customers residing inside that defined boundary, but not requiring an in-store visit to complete a WAV retail purchase or lease transaction. The MBW Buy Direct Product Specialist will be responsible for chassis conversion sales, customer satisfaction, vendor relationship management, marketplace intelligence, and performance metrics, to capture revenue previously lost from restrictive trade agreements.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Build on BDC experience and complete MobilityWorks sales training to drive the MBW Buy Direct sales channel.
• Work all Out-of-Area leads in the BDC queue via phone, email, or chat to determine the availability and proximity of recommended solutions.
• Target customers based on the immediacy of solution and purchase timelines. Prioritize remainder of customer inquiries based on documented urgency of need
. • Qualify prospects for WAV solutions, assuring MobilityWorks’ adherence to Primary Marketing Area (PMA) covenants and NMEDA out-of-area customer engagement and service standards.
• Serve as an extension of the MobilityWorks retail store network, engaging GMs, CMCs, and F&I Coordinators in the MobilityWorks 8-Step Solution Process, as applicable.
• Maintain a disciplined regimen of strategic follow-up to educate the customer about MobilityWorks, motivate them to visit (literally, if not virtually) and validate MBW solutions
• Treat all customers professionally, enthusiastically, and courteously, striving for the highest customer satisfaction standards.
• Pursue continuous education through SalesForce and supplier product training, seminars, videos, and collateral materials to strengthen process and product knowledge. Maintain appropriate certification to document professional expertise and drive productivity.
• Monitor inventory status of in-stock and on-order vans, including targeted inventory to address clients’ physical requirements, brand preferences, and budgetary needs.
• Coordinate data compilation and required documentation, including but not limited to sales orders, purchase & sale agreements, warranties, vehicle registration, insurance, and Carfax.
• Complete supplier product training programs, seminars, and video and print materials to strengthen product knowledge.
• Establish and maintain aggressive sales processes to promote exceptional customer treatment, repeat buying, and referral solicitation.
• Establish and implement prospecting, customer handling, closing, and delivery systems that clearly define MobilityWorks’ customer relationships.
• Maintain MobilityWorks BDC performance standards for customer contacts, appointments, shows, sold, and gross profit objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute market information to support MBW's market strategy. • Research, document, and accurately forecast unit sales and gross profit levels.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, OSHA and other safety regulations, and all state-mandated regulations.
• Comply with MW’s Core Values at all times (LOVE IT).
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to plan, direct, and control the activities of others.
• Deal with all types of people.
• Excellent customer service skills and experience is required.
• Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision is required.
• Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
